Step Competitions...

My coworker asked me if I wanted to attend a step competition with her in February. Immediately, this is what came to mind:

Apparently, a step competition is not women in 1980s style leotards and leg sweaters doing step aerobics demonstrations on stage.

Is it weird that I am kind of disappointed?

Ummm, is it a stupid question to ask what exactly is a step competition? I feel like it should have something to do with line dancing but that's probably false.

I think it is like STOMP. Does that help? If if makes you feel any better, I obviously didn't know either.

Really, Deals, you hadn't heard of step competitions? Is there actually something that I knew about before you? THAT NEVER HAPPENS. I'm marking this day down on my calendar.

That said, I would totally be disappointed if I were you. Well, stepping is really cool. But I don't think anything could top people competing with step aerobics routines and taking it very, very seriously.

JLR: Exactly. I would pay good money to see people taking step aerobics very seriously. Who wouldn't?! And the leg sweaters are the icing on the cake!
