Another Banner Weekend...

Banner has been so happy and easy going lately, which makes family time together all the more special.

This weekend was particularly wonderful because we had no plans for once.  No weddings.  No parties.  No need for a sitter.  It was just relaxed, lazy and...well, perfect.  It was one of those weekends that you wish you could bottle and relive when life gets you down or your soul needs a little pick-me-up.

I'd write more, but - honestly - we didn't do very much.  At least nothing of interest.  We slept in, played outside in the warm Saturday sunshine FOR HOURS, took long afternoon naps on the couch, watched football, tried on winter hats to see which ones still fit Banner's bald noggin (after the cold front blew through Sunday morning), did a little shopping/baby proofing, got the down comforter out of the attic and went out to eat with family.

Oh.  And took pictures.  Lots and lots of pictures.

Because I can't bottle moments.  But I can photograph them.  I can only hope it will be enough to get me through the next time the universe makes me want to scream, "Uncle".

The lip never gets old.
(He was mad at me because I wouldn't let him eat leaves)

Don't worry.  He doesn't stay mad long (generally).

When Banner plays with his trucks, he makes this
adorable "brrrrrrrrrr" noise (like a motor).  Such a little boy.

He LOVES being thrown in the air.

And swinging upside down.
(Trevor says it looks like he is "pooping Banner" in this picture.
Nice, Trev.  Way to ruin the moment.  ;P )

The coffee table is no longer safe for anything.  Much less beer (Trevor!).

Eating brunch at Angela's.
Banner had puffs and a pancake.

Naptime with Daddy after watching Syracuse beat Louisville.
We woke up in time to see A&M beat Alabama.
Never thought I would ever find myself rooting for the Aggies...

Right before this was taken, Banner LET GO and
stood on his own for about 1.5 seconds.  He only
fell when he realized he wasn't holding on to anything.

Sorry about the messy pictures of our closet.  Banner thinks closing doors is the epitome of fun.

Dinner at Brook Hollow with Auntie Mimi and Uncle Bud.  Love Banner's facial expressions!
He always throws his hands in the air when he is excited or proud of himself.  Adorable.

Here's to making more memories!

did sound like a nice weekend! All cute pictures; it is neat to capture their lives like this in pictures to look back years later when they grow up (way too fast too)

This is my life so far said...

LOVE this. Looks like you all had a great restful weekend. Sounds like our weekend right now, except no kidos to entertain us.
