I ask for three hours and Trevor takes three days...

Good thing this little guy is so stinkin' cute!

Earlier this week, my friend Anni called and asked if I wanted to go see a movie sometime.

So, needing a babysitter, I asked Trevor what he thought. He said it was a great idea and that I should get out more and socialize with my friends. Going to a movie was a great start.

Me: "Great! What night is good for you?"

Trevor: "What do you mean?"

Me: "You know. To watch the baby."

Trevor: "When?"

Me: "When I go see a movie with Anni."

Trevor: "Oh. I just figured you'd take Banner with you."

Me: "Babies usually aren't welcome in movie theaters."

Trevor: "Well, I assumed you would go to one of those Mommy and Me movie showings during the day."

Me: "No, no. We want to go at night. Without the baby. I'd only be gone for a few hours."

Trevor: "Um, yeah, about that..."

In other words, no movie for me. But Trevor is leaving bright and early tomorrow morning for a guys weekend in Las Vegas.

And this is fair how exactly?

Sigh...

Um...he realizes that it's not babysitting when it's his own kid, right? #bannerhastwoparents

Seriously, dude? Parenting FAIL. Deals, next time just leave the house when it's time to go to the movie (making sure that Trevor is there first, of course).

Just stumbled upon your blog. I read this one and don't take this the wrong way, because I am saying it with love: Don't let him do that. Next time, don't ask, just tell him "I am going out with so-and-so tonight at 7pm I will be back at 10pm, love you, call me in case of an emergency. Bye." Hang in there mama, he will learn. <3

Yeah does he realize it's not babysitting when its your kid. I would be interested in what he thinks you do all day anyway?

Ok so this comment has nothing really to do with this particular blog entry, but now that I have caught myself up from the last few weeks I just want you to know that EVERYTIME I see pictures of Banner I get the biggest smile on my face and I just SQUEE with joy! He is so ridiculously unbelievably cute! I almost about can't stand it! SO CUTE I TELL YOU!!!!! Just wanted you to know.

Aww. Trev. You can do it. The babe is in great hands with you. And if you don't let Deals out without the baby, she will go crazy and no one wants that.
